Will the undying love promises have a lasting effect with your partner, when you have won a massive payout? Jilted man, Kirk Steven got dumped by his live-in girlfriend, Laura, after she won £3.6 Million (R678 Million) payout from the Set For Life draw.

The former couple was thrilled to discover they would be banking £10,000 (R212,078). However, the joy was short-lived after Laura dumped him, claimed all winnings and left him devastated.

It is alleged that Laura lived with Kirk rent-free and he came up with the idea that she should purchase £25 (R530) worth of lottery tickets instead of contributing to household expenses, an arrangement that yielded great results. She then left and moved into a new 5-bedroom home that he had helped her pick out.

It all started when Laura declined Kirk’s proposal. He suggested that there were more red flags in their relationship than he wanted to realize at the time. He said: “We’d both been married before and when we first got together, Laura told me she wasn’t bothered about tying the knot again.

The former couple made headlines by posing with a lottery cheque written in both their names, even though Laura was the official winner. Camelot confirmed that despite the names on the fake cheque used for publicity, all Set For Life winnings are paid to an individual, even in a syndicate. The winning account used belonged to Laura.

Laura has now cut him off from the jackpot loot, taken their two dogs and asked him how much she owed in rent for all the months she had accumulated.

There's no need to start a lottery pool. Place your bets on LottoStar’s Set for Life for as little as R5, you could win payouts of up to R650 Million.
