Lighting up our morning is 12-year-old Brooklyn Brookstein.
Brooklyn currently stays with her paternal grandmother because her mother can’t afford to send her to school. Her mother resides in Westdene with her sister and works at a salvage shop where she earns R100 per day.
Both Brooklyn’s grandmother and aunt are unemployed. Upon hearing about our 12 Days of Joy giveaway on 947, Brooklyn decided to write to Anele and The Club as she had a few wishes for this year’s Christmas.
On her list, Brooklyn requested the following:
• A fridge
• Christmas groceries
• Toys for her and her sister
LottoStar was moved by Brooklyn’s big heart and would be granting her Christmas groceries wish with an R5,000 grocery voucher.
While our friends at Takealot would be gifting a fridge and toys for both Brooklyn and her sister. Wishes do come true!
